Guest Artist
Brentwood J. Townend is an artist in every sense of the word – as a dancer, choreographer, writer, filmmaker, photographer, and art enthusiast, Brentwood cherishes every opportunity to express his innovative, creative voice through the interweaving of artistry and human connection. Brentwood started dancing as soon as he could walk, learning the art of ballet from his mother, and he currently holds a BFA in Dance Performance with a minor in Creative Writing from the
University of South Florida (USF). In addition to an impressive decade-long performance repertoire that includes lead roles in several classical ballets and numerous contemporary productions, he has also choreographed dance works that have been presented at USF and at multiple venues in Paris, France. Brentwood is honored to be a founding company member of Tampa City Ballet. Having had the pleasure of performing in the company premiere, AfterImage, in 2018, he is thrilled to continue performing with them amidst their second season. Brentwood is excited to be returning as a guest artist with Ballet Academy of St. Petersburg
after performing in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs last year. Brentwood would like to thank God for His love and for instilling such a gifting and passion for dance in his life, as well as his wife and forever dance partner, Hannah, and his son, Zephaniah, for their precious support.
